Washington Community Health Resource Library

Washington Community Health Resource Library is proud to offer free Osteoporosis and Blood Pressure screenings.

Osteoporosis Screening

This screening involves an ultrasound to detect the risk of osteoporosis by measuring for the bone mineral density (BMD) through the heel bone. Please note you will need to remove your shoe and sock (and/or stockings) from one foot to place your heel in a machine to measure your BMD. The screening is painless and only takes about 5 minutes per person.

Blood Pressure Screening

A self-service blood pressure screening station is available in the Library. You can check your systolic and diastolic while also calculating your height and weight to measure your body mass index (BMI).
